Profile

Software architect with an unusual route in: a decade in vehicle systems, five years of hands-on port and terminal operations - stevedore, crane operator, supervisor - then IT management and full-time software. I build logistics and infrastructure systems from first principles, and I’ve driven the machines that logistics software schedules.

Experience

ICT Lead (contract) - greenfield deep-water container terminal, client under NDA · 2026-present

Sole ICT function for a greenfield terminal build: network and server infrastructure, surveillance and access control, an ISO 27001-aligned ISMS written from scratch, ERP vendor selection and rollout. Designing and building a terminal operating system - gate, yard, HR and payroll, billing.

Full-stack Developer - Groweo Oy, Helsinki (B2B SaaS, remote) · 2023-2024

First Finland-based engineer in a distributed team (engineering in India, data architecture in San Francisco). Designed and built a new digital-marketing product end to end.

Reach Stacker Specialist / IT Executive - Wasco Coatings LLC, Qatar · 2021-2023

Concrete weight coating plant for offshore oil and gas pipelines, part of the listed Wasco group. Joined to train heavy-equipment operators as the plant came up, moved into logistics coordination, then hired permanently to run IT. Ran the IT budget and vendor contracts; built and maintained the plant’s IT infrastructure - servers and networking.

Port & terminal operations - Hangö Stevedoring (now Euroports Hanko), Multi-Link Terminals, Adolf Lahti Yxpila (KWH Logistics), Finland · 2016-2021

Stevedore, machine operator, and supervisor across three Finnish ports. Most of it on Nord Stream 2 pipe logistics - two 1,230 km gas pipelines across the Baltic, roughly 200,000 concrete-coated joints staged through Finnish ports for the lay vessels: ~2,000 hours operating container handlers, terminal tractors, and a Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour crane - 25-tonne concrete-coated gas-pipe sections with effectively zero error tolerance; trained new machine operators; supervised a crew of 35 on a client side-project. Later recruited to Qatar by that client, Wasco Coatings.

Among the group of key people who guaranteed the success of the project.

- Project manager, Multi-Link Terminals Ltd, written work certificate, 2019

Vehicle Systems Installer & Developer - Assistor Oy Ab, Vantaa (Veho Group - vehicle logistics) · 2006-2016

Ten years of electrical and mechanical installation across passenger and commercial vehicles at Veho’s vehicle logistics arm. Held employee trust roles and sat in the company’s management group. Helped specify and build Assistor’s new internal operations system - the first time I built software for an operation I was working inside.
