Venekeskus - winter storage CRM

A small, purpose-built CRM that runs the winter storage side of a Finnish boat business.

The situation

Venekeskus stores customers' boats over the winter season and sells service work around the storage. The season used to run on manual work by the sales staff - a steady stream of customer requests taken in, answered and kept track of by hand.

What I built

A web application covering customers, boats, storage seasons and locations. The core is the back-and-forth with customers: a request comes in, the application sends an email, the customer replies, and the exchange carries on inside the system. It runs in production at sailytys.venekeskus.com and app.venekeskus.com.

Stack & infrastructure

Deliberately small: the whole system runs on a Hetzner VPS.

Outcome

Sales of winter storage and the services around it rose clearly once the system was in. I won't publish the client's exact numbers, but over a few seasons the total sits in the 200-400 thousand euro range.
